A reliable reputation isn't just given, it's earned.  Year after year, boat after boat, you can't do better than the Honda BF225 and BF200 when it comes to the best blend of power and reliability.

Besides the sleek, slim look that complement the aesthetics of any boat, both the BF225 and BF200 feature a Large Displacement V6.  It's a powerful yet compact 24-valve SOHC design without the bulk and weight of long intake runners and multi-camshafts.  The result is superior performance and  urability inspired by Honda's automotive engineering excellence.

AHonda exclusive on both engines is our 90 amp "On Demand" belt-driven alternator.  It reduces heat buildup and is the largest amount of recreational charging capability you can get: 48 amps at 1000 rpm and 60+ amps above 2000 rpm.  Meanwhile, the BF225 also features an advanced gear case for improved shifting.

Another feature you'll find in all Honda outboards is our famous engine quietness.  Unlike many manufacturers, we don't put extra insulation in the cowling to dampen the sound. We don't have to. Hondas are simply engineered to be more quiet from the get go.

Both the BF225 and BF200 allow for mounting dual engines on a standard 26" center-to-center distance.  This means they'll fit any dual design boat without expensive transom modifications.  Put a pair on and your mind will redefine the term "silver streak".
