Both engines also feature Honda's exclusive Dual Stage Induction, a variable air intake manifold that delivers top performance at every speed. Both also offer our 51 amp "On-Demand" belt-driven alternator to reduce heat buildup and provide superior battery-charging capability. 30 amps at 1000 rpm and 40+ amps above 2000 rpm.
On the BF150, you also get Honda's exclusive VTEC Technology. Our Variable Valve Timing & Lift Electronic Control (VTEC) gives you a broader, flatter torque curve and smoother power delivery throughout the engine's operating range, providing outstanding performance without sacrificing fuel economy. It's all because VTEC varies the lift and duration of the intake valves to deliver optimal performance at both low and high rpm, resulting in peak performance at all speeds.
Also, don't forget that all Honda engines meet or exceed the EPA standards for 2007, and most of them already have the highest CARB 3-Star raiting to meet the rigorous California Air Resourse Board's standards for 2008. |
